Welcome…

Urben was established in 2012 as a multi-disciplinary urbanism studio focused on planning, design and problem solving for urban environments. With a passion for making our cities better places, we work at a range of scales, from regional masterplans down to intricate courtyard spaces. Our studio is based in Hackney Wick, overlooking the Lea Navigation Canal on the edge of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

We Value:

  • Research, continual learning and the exchange of knowledge to make better places.

  • Holistic, long term thinking around how to improve urban environments.

  • Bringing together the best people - from the arts, sciences, academia and industry.

  • Our reputation - working on projects that we believe in and delivering them to a high standard.

  • Unique places that deliver a high quality of life for residents and positive experiences for visitors.

  • Supporting local communities and other small businesses, both as a living Wage Employer and where possible, through our voluntary work for community interest groups and charities.
